In today’s modern online world it seems that everywhere that you look someone is trying to sell you one thing or another, and that’s just about all they seem to really care about. My belief is a little bit different.

 

Don’t get me wrong, I like to make money just as much as the next person, but I have learned that building relationships with people, customers or potential customers can make you a lot more money and be much more rewarding in the long run.

I have owned a few different business over the course of my life, and they were all rather successful. I owe part of my success in business to the fact that I didn’t treat everyone like they were just a wallet I was hoping to pry open as fast as possible and get money from them.

 

I was raised around my grandfather, a business owner himself, who had taught me that if you treat people with respect and go out of your way to show them that respect them and that you value them as a customer of yours, it will pay off more in the long run.

Treat people well and they will also tell family, friends, business and other acquaintances about how well you have treated them and that is some of the best advertising that you can have.
