In today’s world, social media is a main source of getting your ideas, passions, hobbies, information and more seen by millions of people around the world. If you have your own website or blog site then using social media can be a key component in driving traffic to your website or blog site. The many social media websites, especially the larger ones like Twitter, Facebook and Google+, have millions of people that use them daily. This means the potential to get your posts on these websites seen by all these people is huge. Now, I for one, can understand why so many companies, websites and people make many postings on these social media sites. However, when do the number of Tweets, Shares and every other postings become just too much? When and where is the line drawn between doing great promoting and going too far? The answer doesn’t really have a definite line as to what is too much and what is adequate. Without a definite answer, as it’s impossible to determine exactly, each person, company and website needs to think about what message they want to send to their followers, friends, etc. on these social media websites.READ MORE !
I bought a domain name a couple of weeks ago that was a drop/expired domain. I got it for registration fee (the regular cost to register the domain) and it is a good, dictionary word domain. I did my normal research on the domain before I bought it and everything looked good except that it had nothing in the Google index. It was parked (basically just an advertising site) for the previous 6-9 months so I wasn’t sure if that was why it wasn’t indexed. I had plans to develop the domain into a website so I installed WordPress and went ahead and slapped up a contact and a couple of other pages just for temporary use. I then went and added it to my Google Webmasters account and got it verified. I submitted the pages and by the next day nothing had showed up in Google yet. Usually the pages that get submitted to Google get indexed quicklyREAD MORE !

I am the kind of person who starts out looking for information on one topic / thing but then I see something and that leads me to doing a web search on something else. To tell you the truth, I was just doing some searches on testing the speed of which a website loads (I’m always doing mods to my website to improve it’s speed and improve my visitors viewing experience) to see where my website is in terms of page load speed (ulterios.com is actually pretty fast compared to other sites). One thing lead to another and while doing a Google search I came across some articles on the most searched topics on the internet for this year (2014). Now after doing some research I had found that Google had released their most searched for topics of 2014 and I have to say that most of theREAD MORE !
I’m starting a new page in which I will be featuring a certain website or blog few times a month. I will discuss why I think it deserves to be featured in this section, either good or bad. I will talk about my thoughts and views on the website from my personal experience and some experiences I have talked about with other people. These sites are not featured in any particular order or anything. They are just websites or blogs that I have either been using / visiting for a while and have something to share with everyone about that website or maybe just a new site I have either discovered or been told about that I think there is something to be shared, good or bad. So feel free to read my article and tell me what your thoughts are. I thought I would do my first segment of “My Featured Website” is on one of the websites that I use most often, and that website is Google.com. Now, like many people I spend quite a bit of time on the internet doing various things. I am the type of person who always like to find theREAD MORE !
