This is my second installment of “My Featured Website” so I thought I would talk about one of my other favorite websites, eBay.com. Now I am sure pretty much everyone has heard of eBay. They are the biggest online auction website in the world and have been around for getting close to twenty years. Many people who are looking to buy something online start at eBay.com first to check for product availability and prices for those products.   On eBay you can buy just about anything that can be shipped or sent by the USPS (US Mail),UPS, Fedex and any other carrier. You can even buy things that can’t be shipped like cars, boats, etc. On eBay.com you have large and small business selling their goods as well as individuals selling as well. Here pretty much anyone can sell what they have to offer and the little guys get a chance to compete against the bigger companies for your hard earned money.   Most people who know or have heard about eBay know them as an online auction website and that is what they are known for. Well since the holiday season is upon us I thought I might share some thoughts, tips and experiences about holiday shopping! Soon it will be time to start thinking about those holiday deals that the retailers force upon us with their TV advertisements, internet advertisements, newspaper advertisements, etc. It’s hard to miss out on all these ads since this time of year those advertisers just seem to find every way possible to get those great deals to find there way into your life somehow. No matter where you look, the ads will make there way into your vision and thoughts.   These advertisements will start increasing as we near Thanksgiving and the Loved and Hated Black Friday holiday shopping kick-off. So then what will you do? You must have a few things that you have thought about buying lately, right? Either for a loved one, a dear friend, a family member or even yourself, those holiday shopping thoughts will creep into your mind?   So then what are you going to do? I’m starting a new page in which I will be featuring a certain website or blog few times a month. I will discuss why I think it deserves to be featured in this section, either good or bad. I will talk about my thoughts and views on the website from my personal experience and some experiences I have talked about with other people.   These sites are not featured in any particular order or anything. They are just websites or blogs that I have either been using / visiting for a while and have something to share with everyone about that website or maybe just a new site I have either discovered or been told about that I think there is something to be shared, good or bad. The internet plays an important part of the lives for many people all over the world. The internet helps to provide up with a quick and efficient way to find whatever it is that we are looking for at any given time. Weather you are looking for the latest news stories, trying to see what the weather forecast will be, you are looking to make a purchase, or many other things, the internet is where millions of people look first. One main reason for this is that through the internet all of these things can be done very easily and quickly.   Now, this is a good thing because these abilities of the internet is part of what makes it such a great thing. Though like pretty much anything else out there, too much of a good thing can actually have some negative affects on our lives. So like anything else, just make sure that you don’t let too much of this good thing cause these negative affects. I have lately been having that feeling of knowing I am just getting too old. I found myself reflecting yesterday on how things were about twenty to twenty five years ago (or so) when I felt like I would be young forever and I wasn’t going to be like the older people I had seen my whole life. I then started thinking about the way life is now and they way it was back then. Boy have times changed without me realizing how fast it has happened!   I have recently caught myself noticing how much more dependent on technology people are getting these days. Many people feel like they can’t leave their house without their cell phone and possibly some other electronic device or gadget. People just can’t seem to comprehend what life would be like without those precious devices.   Many people feel utterly helpless if they forget their cell phone, iPod or other MP3 player or maybe their cherished tablet. I am starting to think that I am starting to feel like my parents probably felt when they were around my age. That feeling like what we grew up knowing has changed and life will never beREAD MORE !
