In this installment of “My Featured Website” I will be talking about a website that most people know about and have used at one time or another, that website is youtube.com. This is the worlds largest and most popular video sharing and watching website.   A little fact about you tube that most people don’t know is that youtube.com is the #3 website in the world (at the time this article was written) as far as the amount of website traffic (visitors) that youtube.com gets. It might be hard to believe that youtube.com is the #2 website in the whole world, but it is. Microsoft’s big search engine website bing.com is only #36 in the world. Youtube.com is behind Google.com in the number 1 spot and is currently ahead of Facebook.com in the number 3 spot in the amount of visitors to their website.   Youtube was created in February 2005 by three former Paypal employees. Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim created Youtube after having trouble finding video clips of Janet Jackson’s famous 2004 NFL Superbowl incident and of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that killed almost a quarter of a million people. My third installment of “My Featured Website” is about a website called eGeek Universe (www.egeekuniverse.com). On eGeek Universe there are all kinds or articles, stories, tips and other information about electronics, mostly consumer electronics like cell phones, MP3 players, tablets, laptops and things along those lines. Instead of just providing you with information you can get on other websites or blogs, this website provides it’s site visitors with a more down to Earth way of presenting the information they share with their site visitors.   I have been to thousands of websites and blogs that were covering electronics in one form or another and they all seem to be kind of “BLAH” as far as how they present their information, kind of like their target audience are robots or something. Most of the information online can be found on many different websites so I think it’s best for a site to try to provide that information in a better way. That way if their readers enjoy reading their articles, stories and posts they are more likely to come back to that website or blog and maybe even bookmark the site. This is my second installment of “My Featured Website” so I thought I would talk about one of my other favorite websites, eBay.com. Now I am sure pretty much everyone has heard of eBay. They are the biggest online auction website in the world and have been around for getting close to twenty years. Many people who are looking to buy something online start at eBay.com first to check for product availability and prices for those products.   On eBay you can buy just about anything that can be shipped or sent by the USPS (US Mail),UPS, Fedex and any other carrier. You can even buy things that can’t be shipped like cars, boats, etc. On eBay.com you have large and small business selling their goods as well as individuals selling as well. Here pretty much anyone can sell what they have to offer and the little guys get a chance to compete against the bigger companies for your hard earned money.   Most people who know or have heard about eBay know them as an online auction website and that is what they are known for. I’m starting a new page in which I will be featuring a certain website or blog few times a month. I will discuss why I think it deserves to be featured in this section, either good or bad. I will talk about my thoughts and views on the website from my personal experience and some experiences I have talked about with other people.   These sites are not featured in any particular order or anything. They are just websites or blogs that I have either been using / visiting for a while and have something to share with everyone about that website or maybe just a new site I have either discovered or been told about that I think there is something to be shared, good or bad.
